My client, a dynamic legal advisory firm is looking for a commercially astute Business Labour Associate to join the team. This dual-role position integrates labour law expertise with strategic business development and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities include providing expert advice and legal opinions on labour matters, including disciplinary processes, incapacity, retrenchments, and employment contracts; represent clients at CCMA and Bargaining Councils; drafting legal documents; conducting workplace investigations; assisting in the development and review of workplace policies and monitoring labour law developments and proactively advise clients.
The second role of this position will be to develop business and grow client relations; assist with client proposals and retainer agreements; contribute to legal product development and training material; represent the firm at industry and networking events and support building of strategic partnerships.
Minimum Requirements include an LLB degree including labour law; candidate must be an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, 2 to 4 years’ experience in employment/labour law and proven CCMA experience. We would like a candidate with strong drafting and analytical skills and have a commercial awareness with an interest in business development. Excellent presentation and communication skills essential.
